Rosaleen Cox is an Irish/Australian ex mountain ranger turned actor/writer specialising in dark comedy.
Her debut play MAD WOMAN sold out it’s season to critical acclaim and subsequently her work has won awards including Best Original Content by the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA), Director’s Choice at the St Kilda Film Festival, and the “One to Watch” accolade by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (mainly for taking home awards that don’t belong to her).
As an actor, Rosaleen played the role of Sarah K in Amazon Prime/NBC Universal’s series CLASS OF ’07 and will play the role of Sophie in HBO Max/BBC One’s upcoming season 2 of THE TOURIST.
In 2023 Rosaleen was interviewed on the BBC discussing her stage and screenwriting career, including her new dark comedy play STIFF DRINK which she performed in sold out theatres across London and Los Angeles.
