Claire McGowan.





Claire grew up in Northern Ireland, then studied English at Oxford University. After spells living abroad in France and China, she settled into life in London. She published her first novel in 2012, and has followed it up with ten others, in the crime fiction genre and also in women’s fiction (writing as Eva Woods).

On the script writing front, Claire has been a finalist in the Sundance Episodic Lab, BBC writers’ room, and the C21 drama writing competition, and was selected as the 2018 International Fellow on the Nickelodeon Writers’ Program. Claire has written a ten part radio drama, entitled Blackwater, which was broadcast on Radio 4 in early 2019 and she has also written a play, several articles and short stories, and is working on a non-fiction book for Audible.
