Jamie is a development consultant and scriptwriter based in London.
After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in Psychology & Neuroscience, Jamie took the producing MA at the National Film & Television School, where his graduation film Badgered was nominated for an Oscar. He started his career on the Harry Potter films with director David Yates, providing additional script material and also playing the role of Newspaper Vendor in the fifth film. He was a script editor onEastEnders and development executive for Paul Abbott (Shameless, No Offence) before becoming development executive at the BFI Film Fund, where he championed new talent and worked on several British films including Pride, Frank and The Selfish Giant as well as being a mentor/judge on the iFeatures scheme across films including Lady Macbeth and God’s Own Country. He was subsequently VP Creative at Elton John’s Rocket Pictures and SVP Film at Production Company 42 before becoming Head of Development for Oscar-winning filmmaker Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave, Hunger, Widows).
Jamie recently delivered his first screenplay commission and is currently working part-time for Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s company Stolen Picture across their slate of TV and Film projects.
He also provides script development for several scriptwriters represented by the Mulcahy Sweeney Associates literary agency.
