Born and living in Yorkshire, Mark Wright is a writer, producer and editor.

His stage play, Looking for Vi, was a finalist at the Offcut Festival 2011 (Riverside), winning the panel award for Best Ensemble. It has since been performed internationally and adapted into a short film that was selected for the 2014 East End Film Festival.

Mark has written for some of British pop culture’s biggest brands, including Doctor Who, for which he currently scripts the official comic strip adventures, and the best-selling book Who-Ology (BBC Books, 2014), the first Doctor Who book to become a Sunday Times bestseller. Doctor Who audio dramas include Masters of Earth (Big Finish, 2014) and the forthcoming The Eternal Battle (Big Finish, 2017), starring Tom Baker.

Other audio work includes Blake’s 7, Pathfinder Legends and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Credits as a producer and script editor include three series of sci-fi drama Graceless (Big Finish), broadcast on BBC Radio 4Xtra, with a fourth series in production for 2017.
