Rosaleen Cox is an award winning Irish/Australian actor and writer specialising in dark comedy. She is currently developing original television projects with Roughcut TV, Fremantle and Lingo Pictures and has been commissioned by Soho Theatre, Meta, the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) and most recently Francesca Moody Productions (Fleabag, Baby Reindeer) for her play which she starred in at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe.

Her theatre work includes sold-out runs of one-woman and ensemble shows including Mercurial (Riverside Studios, London – Winner: Best Show), Free Drugs & Killer Whales (Smock Alley, Dublin), Mad Woman (Trades Hall, Melbourne) and Stiff Drink (London and Los Angeles). On screen, Rosaleen’s credits include Class of ’07 (Amazon Prime/NBCUniversal), The Tourist (Netflix/BBC One) and Austin (ITV/ABC).

She is a member of the Soho Theatre Studio Writers’ Lab and Element Pictures Storyhouse Screenwriting Lab, received the Director’s Choice Award for her short at the St Kilda Film Festival, six AACTA LMAO nominations (winning Best Original Content) and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s One to Watch. She was also a finalist for the Australians in Film’s Untapped program and shortlisted for The Painkiller Prize and Oxford Playhouse Playmaker.
