Sheena Dempsey is a multi award-winning children’s book illustrator from Cork, Ireland. She has illustrated over thirty books for children during the last decade including Sheffield Children’s Book Award-winning Yoga Babies by Fearne Cotton, The Magic Moment by Niall Breslin and the Dave Pigeon series by Swapna Haddow. Swapna and Sheena were dubbed a “dream team” by the Guardian in 2021 and their new series – published by Faber – is called Bad Panda. She also illustrates Mermaid School, a young fiction series written by Lucy Courtenay. Sheena writes and illustrates comics and has her own webcomic called Penguin Chronicles. She lives by the sea in Folkestone with her husband Mick and their lovely greyhound Jeremy.
