Rachael Rooney Starts Previews for Crocodile Fever at the Arcola Theatre

Rachael Rooney takes centre stage at the Arcola Theatre in Crocodile Fever, a darkly comic thriller by Meghan Tyler, running from 17 October to 22 November 2025. Set in 1980s Northern Ireland, the play follows two estranged sisters reuniting in a storm of buried trauma and blood-soaked revenge.

Rooney plays Alannah, a devout and repressed woman whose quiet life is upended by her rebellious sister Fianna (played by Tyler). Speaking ahead of the run, Rooney said, “The humour comes naturally – what hits hardest is the truth underneath.”

Directed by Mehmet Ergen, Crocodile Fever blends horror, comedy, and feminist fury in one unforgettable night of theatre.
