He’s currently starring in a play he wrote called TILDA SWINTON ANSWERS AN AD ON CRAIGSLIST, a comedy hit with sold out runs in New York, Los Angeles, and Edinburgh Fringe. Broadway World raves, “Byron Lane has written a brilliant tour de force.”
Byron also wrote and stars in LAST WILL & TESTICLE, a web series about his testicular cancer diagnosis which screened at festivals around the world and was hailed as “fearless” by Cosmopolitan Magazine. The pitch he wrote and produced for the series GAY DIVORCE was a finalist in Project Greenlight’s See Yourself contest and the feature film he wrote called HERPES BOY, starring Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer, won Best Comedy at Comic Con.
He’s been personal assistant to Carrie Fisher, winner of a regional Emmy Award for his time as a TV News writer, and spent three years as a live television breaking news reporter on the overnight shift in Las Vegas. He’s from New Orleans and lives in Hollywood with his boyfriend and their sassy rescue dog.
