Paul is the acting legend, best known to generations of fans as the heartthrob Detective David Starsky in Starsky and Hutch. He has also appeared in the television soap operas Love is a Many Splendored Thing and Love of Life. Paul has guest-starred in countless TV series and movies, most notably Fiddler on the Roof, (Perchik), Butterflies Are Free, Phobia, Something’s Gotta Give with Diane Keaton, and Starsky and Hutch – the movie.
Not just a familiar face on screen, Paul is a classically trained actor who began his career at the Royal Shakespeare Company working with the likes of Max Adrian and Laurence Olivier. He has appeared in over 50 roles on Broadway, off Broadway, regional, repertory, of course as starring in UK pantos – oh yes he has!
In 2013, Paul magnificently led the cast of a critically acclaimed, smash hit UK number 1 tour of Fiddler On The Roof.
Paul also writes, directs and produces motion pictures. He has directed and/or produced Band of the Hand, The Running Man, The Cutting Edge, The Air Up There, and Kazaam and television series including, Judging Amy, The Agency, Robbery Homicide Division, and Mr. Sterling, Lyon’s Den, Las Vegas, The E Ring, and Criminal Minds.
Paul Michael Glaser currently serves as Honorary Chairman of the Board of the Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation, the leading non-profit organisation committed to ensuring better overall medical treatments for children, preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and creating a healthier future for children worldwide. He was chair of the Board of Directors from 1996 to 2002.
