Winnie Byanyima is an aeronautical engineer, politician, human rights activist, feminist and diplomat. As a guerrilla fighter, she played a key role in the liberation of Uganda from Idi Amin’s repressive regime in the 1980’s. She was the executive director of Oxfam until 2019 and is now the executive director of UNAIDS.
