A wife drops her husband at the beach for his early morning swim. She sees a young woman running, shedding her shirt and embracing him passionately before he puts his hand over her face, and she drops down onto the stones. In the rear of the car their seven-year-old sits quietly. She embarks on a solitary quest to find out what’s happened. The story is focused around four perspectives: the lecturer husband, the intense, brilliant young woman (who is his student), his wife and their son. The seven-year-old boy holds the key to the truth and could be the film’s narrator.
