Alice has been bed bound with an unknown chronic illness since she was 11 years old, but that doesn’t stop her from Living. Every day, she logs onto her private Live Streaming platform and watches the world through cameras worn by family friends all over the world.
But one day, Alice watches as her favourite streamer is killed in a cycle accident, and is instead introduced to Rowan – a new streamer who pauses to notice the wonder hidden in the cracks.
Only Rowan isn’t like the other streamers. Instead of watching passively from her bed, Rowan invites Alice to capital-L Live by asking her what she wants to do. Together, they run into the sea, explore sealife centres and start to fall in love.
