Crime and Dystopia Conversation with Sarah Davis-Goff on Wednesday 6th March

Sarah Davis-Goff (author of Last Ones Left Alive) will be taking part in a Crime/ Dystopia Discussion in Waterstones Islington on Wednesday 6th March at 6.30pm. Chaired by Jake Kerridge, the event also features Holly Watt (author of To The Lions) and Hanna Jameson (author of The Last).

Last Ones Left Alive by Sarah Davis-Goff (published 7th March) has been called ‘Bleakly beautiful. A raw emotional depth-charge of a novel’ by author MR Carey.

Set on an island off the west coast of Ireland, in a world that ended before she has born, Orpen has a childhood of love, rockpools and stories by the fireside. But the stories grow darker, and the training begins. Ireland has been devoured by a ravening menace known as the skrake, and though her Island is safe for now, the women must always be ready to run, or to fight.
